Our web page discusses how addiction is related to poverty, and if there really is a link between the two. Many of the articles we used for the research talk about how the links between these two are much more complex than they seem because it involves the community each person lives in, if there is violence, poverty, abuse, what the laws are, how minorities experience all of these, how aggressive the crimes are, how the government has failed people who live in poverty and how the war on drugs has not been successful. We also have to highlight that it depends a lot too on the mental health of each individual because this can heavily influence their consumption or not of drugs. We include the references of the articles we used, a comparative table that examines what topics the article cover and some authorities that we found important for the purpose of our investigation. We also did our own research to evaluate what students of the UDLAP think about the relation between poverty and addiction, we included the questionnaire along with the graphs and the results.
